What to Expect

Dear Members, As Pastor it is my responsibility to lead Stone Temple and its member to where God wants us to go. Paul admonishes the Pastor in Acts 20: 28Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. The Living Bible version is more demonstrative. It reads: 28"And now beware! Be sure that you feed and shepherd God's flock—His church, purchased with His blood—for the Holy Spirit is holding you responsible as overseers. We are constantly reminded that we must go with God, and continually plan to leave the driving to Him. With God on our side and with faith and hard dedicated work from all of us, there is no doubt in my mind that we can anticipate great things from God. We should constantly expect the great. As God gives the vision to the leader, it is my responsibility as the leader and the Pastor to help spiritually encourage the followers to "Catch the Vision". The Bible teaches in Proverbs 29:18 "Without prophetic vision people run wild, but blessed are those who follow [God's] teachings". God's Word Translation We thank God for positioning us and preparing us for an even greater 2011. I want to say, "Thank You" for all the love, faith and support you have shown me as your Pastor. Your love, support, participation and The Holy Spirit continue to give me the inspiration to strive to become the best Pastor that God would have me become. However, never let us forget, to whom much is given, much is required. We have tremendous tasks and challenges ahead of us. We cannot come off the wall! We must keep a mind to work. It's going to take the collective prayers, efforts, finances, and love of each and every one of us. It is my sincerest desire that we will all "Catch the Vision" and move with God on one accord. I see great things ahead of us, but it's going to take time, patience and sound planning. |
