Lesha Crocker
First Lady, Metropolitan Baptist Church


Mrs. Lesha Crocker, born in Norton, VA is the youngest of thirteen (13) children.  She was raised in a family that instilled the love of God, the love of family and the love of friends and neighbors.  Mrs. Crocker accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at an early age.  Since that time her work to advance the kingdom of God and serve His people has never stopped. 

Mrs. Crocker has served in many different ministries and leadership roles in the church.  She served as the president of 200 voice choir that produced 2 CDs; one of which received a Grammy nomination.  She served as the Program Director and Curriculum Developer of a Rites of Passage program for teenage girls.  Gifted in the field of facilitation and training, Mrs. Crocker facilitated a number of workshops like Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University and business plan training.  She has also served in the health ministry and in the usher ministry.  In addition, she has been asked to speak on numerous occasions to various Women's Ministry groups.  


Mrs. Crocker is a graduate of the University of Virginia at Wise, VA.  She has a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Political Science.  Mrs. Crocker's corporate competencies are in the areas of Learning & Development and Marketing.  She has facilitated numerous workshops on Leadership; Diversity; Customer Service; Team Building; Coaching and many other topics.  Additionally, she is a certified instructor for NxLevel Entrepreneur Training, which enables her to provide training for small business owners on Business Plan Development.  Mrs. Crocker has been employed by MetLife for the last 24 years and currently holds the position of Regional Business Development Consultant.

Having a passion for serving others and working in the community, Mrs. Crocker is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is currently a member of the graduate chapter, Rho Rho Omega in Columbus, GA.  She is also a 2009 graduate of Leadership Gwinnett which enabled her to be an active member and leader of Gwinnett County.

Mrs. Crocker proudly serves alongside her husband, Pastor Curtis Crocker, Jr., at Metropolitan Baptist Church, Columbus GA.  There she leads the SISTERs in Christ Women's Ministry and co-facilitates workshops for the Couple's Ministry.  She has also started a program for teenage girls called the Metropolitan PEARLS ministry focused on enhancing self-esteem and providing tools, resources and exposure to excel as Christian women in today's society.  A devoted Christian, Mrs. Crocker uses the guidance of Proverbs 31:10-31, to challenge women to serve God first; their families second and lastly the communities in which they live.
