Total Praise Full Gospel Outreach Church, Inc.

In the beginning, God saved Otis Dewayne Johnson in 1986 and called him into the ministry that same year. He was already active in his home church, St. Mary's Apostolic Church of God, but God saw that it was time to move into another place of ministry. The Late Dr. Preston Brunson (the former pastor) ordained Pastor Johnson to be a minister in 1996 and he continued to serve as an associate minister and as the minister of music.  Although Pastor Johnson believed in the importance of being dedicated and faithful to minister, he felt God calling him to a higher calling; therefore, he begin to diligently pray and seek the face of God to learn specifically what God was asking of him to do. It has always been Pastor Johnson's upmost desire to please God and to walk according to His divine will and with this is mind he knew he could not afford to neglect this assignment.

Pastor Johnson began to pray and to seek wise counsel from anointed men and women of God. Instructions were given to him to obey God and do whatever he was assigned to do. Pastor Johnson decided it was time to move forward with the call on his life and proceeded to make preparations to give birth to a ministry and to name it Total Praise Full Gospel Outreach Church. He says, it was not his idea, but he believes that it is very important to obey God.

Pastor Johnson was ordained to be a pastor by the late Bishop Ann Hardman in August of 1999 and preceded to start this ministry on September 5, 1999. He started with God and a bible, but God began to prove Himself to Pastor Johnson by adding souls to the church and providing everything needed for ministry to include the building used for the first two years of the ministry. This location was 3301 13th Avenue, Columbus, Georgia.  Souls were saved, healed and delivered and as a result of the growth of the church, the church moved to its present location, 1145 13^th street, in June 2001. After the relocating of the church, the ministry continued to grow while different sub-ministries began to be formed within the church.

Soon after the new location of the ministry, Pastor Johnson married Elder Juanita Johnson who brought to the union three lovely children who all, along with his wife, begin to work in ministry immediately. As a result, families were added to the ministry who came submitted with gifts and talents that caused the ministry to expand both spiritually and naturally. People traveled from near and far to receive the word of God and continued to be enriched by the Spirit of God that was forever present on a weekly basis.

To this present day, the ministry continues to grow with over 25 active sub-ministries which keep the church relevant and on the cutting edge. Being the outreach ministry it was designed to be, there is a constant thrive to help those who are hurting and in need while ministering to the whole man. The church fully embraces the call to assist mankind with both spiritual and natural needs while advancing the Kingdom of God through praise and worship.
