Our Ministries

Our Deacons
Men of Valor

We are BLESSED to have an array of wonderful deacons who have been commissioned by the Holy Spirit to serve in our ministry. "And they helped David against the band of the rovers: for they were all mighty men of valor, and were captains in the host." -- 1 Chronicles 12:21

Uplifted Voices
Our Voices of Victory Choir meets for choir practice every Thursday Evening at 7:30 p.m.

Next Generation Young Adult Ministry
The Next Generation Ministry of First Fellowship Baptist Church is for young adults between the ages 21-41. They are high-energy and focused on serving the Lord. The current president is Bro. Ray Hill

On each month's third Sunday, the Next Gens are front and center in the different aspects of morning worship -- teaching Sunday School, ushering, singing in the choir, conducting altar call and the offering. They are a vital part of the church and Pastor Charles E. Odom is dedicated to helping them develop their gifts as they become the next generation of church leadership.

As dedicated members of our church body, Next Gens participate in various groups within the church on the other Sundays as well -- various choirs, the dance ministry, the culinary ministry, the men's and women's ministries.

The Next Gens are such a new ministry, much of what they will do is still to be determined, but they are approaching the possibilities with enthusiasm and they welcome other young adults to get involved.

Children of First Fellowship
Do your kids have a lot of questions about life and Jesus?

Did you know that each 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sunday morning we have Children's Church?

Does your child desire to be an active member in church? Then come let them be a part of our 5th Sunday service when children officiate.

Sunday School starts at 10 a.m. and Church Service begins at 11 a.m.
This is the perfect time for our children to discuss the most important aspects of religion in their lives.  It frees them to learn more about Jesus and his gospel in a fun learning environment.  Minister Connie Odom teaches the children.

She also owns and operates the Boswell Edward Academy co-located with the Church facility, so you can feel good knowing there is a licensed professional that has been trained to work with our children when we leave them in her care.

If your child would also like to perform in the Children's Choir, we have children's choir practice bi-weekly, each 2nd and 4th Saturday at 12 noon.  (Parents must stay with children, and practice only lasts for one hour.)
